How we verify

Every destination uses the same structured schema: access, seasonality, difficulty where relevant, and an explicit last-verified date when field or published sources confirm a figure.

We distinguish how a guide was checked. Field verified means access and identity were checked on the ground or by a named reviewer. Checked using official and local sources means published records were reviewed — that is not a field visit. Community reported details still need independent checking. Research preview pages are desk researched and have not yet been field verified.

Costs, permits, and safety details that are still being confirmed are withheld or clearly marked as provisional - we do not invent fares or regulations to look complete.

No named author is attached until a real editor or local contributor is on file. We do not invent bylines, field visits, or qualifications.
