The story

One of the few cold deserts on earth at this elevation, Katpana sits just outside Skardu. Sunset and sunrise are the usual photo windows; midday wind and harsh light are less kind. Pair with Upper Kachura or Shangrila the same day, and treat sand + altitude seriously for kids and first-timers.
