The story
Rama sits on the northern Astore side, distinct from the southern Rupal approaches under Nanga Parbat. Most visitors jeep into the meadow basin for walks, lake viewpoints, and mountain photography rather than technical climbing. See Rama Lake for the water stop and Astore Valley / region hub for corridor logistics. Confirm seasonal opening of the spur before committing to a same-day turnaround from Gilgit.
