Weekend from Islamabad
A two-to-three-day Hazara / Kaghan first trip when you do not have time for Gilgit.
- Origin: Islamabad
- Duration: 2–3 days
- Best season: April–October; monsoon weeks need a buffer
- Vehicle: Ordinary car on the main Naran road in fair weather
- Family: Suitable if you keep the pace to one valley
- Adventure: Road trip, not a trek
Rough budget: Confirm current Naran / Balakot lodging and fuel locally — no invented PKR totals here
Weather buffer: If the Kaghan road is slow, stay in Siran or skip the lake add-on
Day 1 — Leave Islamabad
Drive toward Mansehra / Balakot. Overnight in or below Naran rather than stacking a lake the same evening.
- Kaghan Valley · Hazara
- Siran Valley (optional) — Quieter if Naran is packed · Hazara
Day 2 — Valley day
One lake or meadow outing, then an early night. Do not add a Hunza-scale transfer.
- Kaghan Valley · Hazara
Day 3 — Return
Leave with daylight for Islamabad. Keep a weather buffer if monsoon cells are forecast.
