The story

Gilgit anchors the junction of roads toward Hunza-Nagar, Ghizer, Skardu, and Chilas. Most visitors pass through rather than linger, but it remains useful for ATMs, transport changes, and weather-dependent Gilgit flights. Pair a short Gilgit stop with Naltar, Bagrote, or the drive north into Hunza once roads and daylight allow.
