I'd use Astore as the corridor hub for Rama Meadows and Rama Lake to the north, and for Rupal approaches under Nanga Parbat to the south. You'll overnight in town, then pick one direction and stop pretending both fit the same afternoon.

The story
Astore is a logistics valley more than a single meadow stop. I'd sleep in Astore town after the Jaglot approach, then decide whether the day belongs to Rama's meadows and lake or to the longer Rupal face of Nanga Parbat. Those are different weather gates and different moods; collapsing them into one rushed plan is how trips get brittle.
When Gilgit flights cooperate, staging through Gilgit still helps. Confirm seasonal road status before you schedule anything that sounds confident on paper.

Shina is widely spoken; Urdu works for guesthouse and jeep logistics. A calm ask gets farther than a rushed demand.
