Kandia is often confused with the Swat circuit because it sits near that mountain geography, but it belongs with Kohistan in access and culture. Expect thinner lodging, more jeep dependency, and stricter local norms than Kalam. Plan it as a deliberate side trip from the KKH, not a casual waterfall-style day.
